Davey Boy Smith Jr. confirms WWE and AEW talks after axed NXT UK offer

The 35-year-old wrestler – whose father is the late ‘British Bulldog’ Davey Boy Smith – was released from the promotion in 2011, but now he’s eyeing up a comeback after plans for an NXT UK run fell through last year. Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, he said: ‘There’s been quite a bit of interest and a little bit of back and forth talk with myself and the company. ‘I think that the plan – or what they were hoping – was for me to come to NXT UK.
