The following interview is part of an exclusive interview series courtesy of CWN Contributor Steven O’Neil. Steven has been a fan of Pro-Wrestling for the past 30+ years and on top of his love for the business, he has also lent his voice to several podcasts over the past year.

What do you do in your spare time when you aren’t wrestling, or training?
I am a full time single Father so that keeps me pretty busy or if I have time, I work on my Twitch and YouTube channels.

What is your favourite wrestling themed podcast or YouTube channel?
I would have to say 365 Pro Wrestling’s YouTube channel as I personally spent hundreds of hours editing videos for them.

What was the moment that made you decide to pursue wrestling as a career?
I always wanted to be a wrestler but I remember in Grade 10 talking to the Career Counselor about it and him thinking it was absurd.

How do your friends/family feel about your wrestling?
Most of my family and friends respect my passion but worry about me wrestling.

How do you balance family/relationships while pursuing your wrestling career?
Almost all of my family lives out West so that makes it easier and I am single so I don’t have to answer to anyone in that regard.

What does a typical training day look like for you?
After 21 years my body is pretty beat up so I mostly do rollerblading, stretching and not too much else.

What does the diet of a pro-wrestler look like?
I can’t speak for others but my diet is horrible. I am a picky eater with a sensitive stomach.

What do you think is a common misconception about wrestling that people have?
That it is not as dangerous as it looks and that anyone could do it if they chose.

If you had to wear a WARNING label, what would it say?
Stand back during my entrance.

In an alternate universe where wrestling doesn’t exist – what are you doing instead?
Probably be a writer or involved with music.
