Beginning on Thursday, July 27th, 2023 and ending on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, CWN will present our Top 10 WWE SummerSlam Moments of All-time. WWE SummerSlam made it’s debut in 1988 and this year will mark the 36th edition of ‘The Biggest Event of the Summer’.
Number five on our list is Randy Orton cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship thanks to the underhanded tactics of Special Guest Referee Triple H who just moments prior, raised Bryan’s arm in victory over John Cena to capture that same WWE title at WWE SummerSlam 2013 which took place on Sunday, August 18th, 2013 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
