Despite both having long tenures in WWE, Edge and The Celtic Warrior have never faced each other one-on-one. Before Edge first retired in 2011, the two collided a few times in Fatal 4-Way and Multi-Man Tag Team Matches, as well teaming together to face John Cena and Randy Orton, but they’ve never had a singles contest. All that changes this week when the two WWE Legends stand toe-to-toe. On the Aug. 11 episode of SmackDown, Edge stated his desire to face The Celtic Warrior, thanking Sheamus for being a catalyst leading to Edge’s return to the ring.
